Organic Cafe and Shop

Tightly connected to the bakery is another major aspect of Camphill Holywood; the café. In the café we are always busy providing the best organic food possible. We run a lunch service five days a week where we serve soup, sandwiches and specials made fresh daily.  Everything in the café is completely organic and we have many options for those with special dietary needs.  All bread served in the café is produced that morning by our hard-working bakers. Throughout the day we are proud to serve a variety of cakes, pies and other sweet treats.  With all these sinful sweets you can also get a bottomless cup of organic coffee, such as as lattes and cappuccinos. You can also choose from over forty different varieties of organic teas that we have on offer.

The staff are friendly and talkative and make it their goal to make the customer feel at home from the moment they come in to the moment they leave.  Our quaint little café is a welcome retreat for many from the hectic pace of modern life.

During your visit to the café it is almost impossible not to spot the organic shop.  In the shop we have a wide range of foods on offer.  Whether you are looking for something sweet, something savory (or a bit of both!) we can provide.  Among the hundreds of products that we have in stock is a wide range of chocolates and other sweets.  From chili to ginger to milk to special dark we have something to satisfy even the most particular sweet tooth.  We also have a wide range of dried goods such as pastas, rice, beans and so on as well as a full range of muesli and cereals.  We also have a full range of dairy products such as milk from County Tyrone and eggs from County Londonderry.

As well as having a full store of dried foods and dairy we also get a fresh delivery of seasonal fruits and vegetables every Wednesday. We try to source most of our fruit and vegetables locally because we believe it is important to support the surrounding communities.  The choice of produce that we carry depends greatly on the season and it is quite common to find something you have never seen before and we encourage our customers to try new things.
