Organisation
The Camphill Holywood Community Meeting takes place on Thursdays in the shop
at 6pm. Practical arrangements, problems, plans and development can be
shared and discussed by all the members. Planning leisure activities, festival
preparation and anthroposophical study form an essential part of this meeting.
Financial and other business decisions are made in the Camphill Holywood Management
Council which meets every month on a Wednesday. Long-term coworkers may become
members of this body.
Camphill Holywood is a member of the Camphill Communities Trust (NI)
Camphill Holywood is very much in the pioneering phase. It is growing steadily
within the little town, quietly offering alternative healthy foods, as well
as a different kind of social approach to employment and recreational activities.
A number of people with special needs work in the three departments and more
residents will be moving into the new house in the near future.
