At the moment, we are looking for one or two volunteers prepared to work for a period of one year. In addition to this, we are also looking for one or two carrying co-workers.

One year volunteering

Gap year? Experience a year abroad?
Join us for a year as a volunteer!
You will live in one of our houses and help us to run one of our workshops (bakery/kitchen/cafe). You will join us in celebrating the festivals throughout the year, help organise outings with your house community, etc. etc. together with the other co-workers and residents you will carry the responsibility of the household and the workshop.

Carrying co-worker

In Camphill Community Holywood, a small group of "Long-term Co-workers" carries the responsibility for the running of the community in a broader sense. We plan ahead, share responsibility for recruitment, paperwork, and are workshop leaders, house co-ordinators and the management of the community. We maintain contact with other communities worldwide, with the Health trusts, our inspectors etc. We also team up with the other three communities in Northern Ireland to learn from each other.

As a carrying co-worker you will join that group and after a while help to carry these responsibilities.

We are especially looking for one or two people who want to be house co-ordinators in one of our houses ("The Flat").
