Management Council

Camphill Holywood is governed by a board of volunteer Directors, called the Management Council.  Our members of Management Council come from a rich variety of backgrounds, bringing varied skills and experience to our community.  Their role is to assist with the strategic governance of the community, ensure we are fulfilling our mission and purpose to the best of our ability, and that resources are used in the most prudent and beneficial way for the benefit of all within the community.

Operational Management

Camphill Holywood is run by our Registered Provider/Registered Manager Andrea Diesel.

Registration and Inspection

One aspect of Camphill Holywood is our residential care home where adults with learning disabilities live alongside co-workers.   As a registered care home we are inspected by RQIA, who come unannounced to check that we are caring and supporting those adults in the best way we can, according to legislation, regulation and individual need.   We receive at least two unannounced care inspections per annum, finance inspections and medicine inspections.  The reports from our inspections can be found on RQIAs website, so far we have received positive feedback from our inspections.

As our adult residents come to us via the Health and Social Care Trusts in NI, we also must show them that we are providing the best possible care, environments and support that we can, promoting adult independence and equlity of opportunity.

Policies and Procedures

Camphill Holywood has developed a detailed framework of policies, procedures and guidance to help inform and support members of our community.   We have a robust and detailed Adult Safeguarding policy and procedure in place which details our Adult Safeguarding Champion (ASC), Registered Manager and Provider Andrea Diesel.

Care Worker Registration

Members of the community who perform care roles are registered as Social Care workers with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council.
